Winter Camps
Why should camp end in August? We can't think of a good reason either so at Manitou, it doesn't! Our one-of-a-kind winter program brings together campers, parents, and staff during the winter for ski and snowboard trips, reunions, and even trips to camp.
The 'Tou on Snow - Manitou’s annual ski trip in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine - includes a full weekend of skiing or riding, snow tubing, hearty meals, relaxing in the hot tub, and games with camp friends.
Our Walk-On-Water trip, a new Manitou tradition, brings campers and staff back to camp in the depths of winter. They set out together for Birch Island across the frozen lake, enjoy a traditional meal, build a fire, and play summertime favorites like softball, football and volleyball in the deep snow. The day ends with milk and cookies — and hot chocolate.
Every fall, winter and spring Manitou directors and staff tour the country hosting reunions and gatherings in more than ten cities. In the spring, Manitou hosts new camper gatherings in several areas as well. Directors also buy a block of seats to three Major League baseball games for campers and their families to attend.
